What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Baseball is my passion. I love the challenge and the constant mental and physical push it demands. It’s a game of highs and lows, one day I may go 0-for-4 at the plate, and the next I might go 4-for 4. It’s the unpredictability that keeps me driven. When I’m catching I get to lead my team on the field, stay focused on every pitch, work hard, and always aim to improve. I have to admit, when I get the chance to throw a runner out at second base, it really gets my adrenaline pumping.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I recently had an older baseball buddy pass away unexpectedly. I’m committed to carrying on his legacy! His impact on my life and on the game continues to motivate me every day. Honoring his memory means approaching baseball with focus, discipline, and a deep respect for the opportunity to play. Every time I step on the field, I remind myself that I’m playing for something bigger than myself, to keep his spirit alive through my dedication and love for the game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There have been so many moments. Whether he is behind the plate catching, on the mound pitching or just cheering on his teammates, he has matured beyond his years! I love how he listens to his coaches, his attitude is always positive. Seeing his first home run go over that fence is for sure a moment I’ll never forget. But what makes me the proudest isn’t just his talent, it’s his heart, his hard work and dedication. Before every game I tell him, go out there and BELIEVE in yourself!
