Receive Text UpdatesReese loves the competitive nature of running. Each time she competes, she knows she is getting better. She also loves it because it is fun! She has made many friends through running and continues to meet new ones along the way.
Reese's running heroes are Doris Lemngole and Charlie Sharbel. Reese met Doris at a speed and power clinic hosted by The University of Alabama and Doris was very kind to her. Doris recently set the NCAA Record in the 3,000M steeplechase. Reese cheers her on and hopes to see her at the Olympics one day. Charlie is Reese's coach. Charlie is a very talented runner and now coaches youth athletes helping them chase their dreams.
Reese was trying to break a 20-minute 5K as a ten-year-old. When she did it this April in Birmingham, AL, she absolutely smashed it by running a 19:28. This also broke the State 5K record for a ten-year-old female.
