What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing softball is being with my teammates. We cheer each other on, help each other when we make mistakes, and celebrate when someone gets a big hit or makes a great play. I also love hitting hard and sliding into home. It makes me feel excited and proud when I do my best. Even when we don't win, I still have fun because I get to play a game I love with my friends. Softball has taught me to work hard, never give up, and always have a positive attitude.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The person who inspires me the most is Peyton. She plays softball for the same travel league that I play in, and she is going to college to play softball. I think that is really cool! Peyton always helps me become a better player. She cheers me on, gives me advice, and makes me feel special every time I see her. She is kind, encouraging, and works really hard. I hope that one day I can be a great softball player just like Peyton.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that makes me really proud is when I hit my first home run. I was so excited because I had been practicing really hard. When I ran around the bases and my teammates were cheering for me, it made me feel so happy. It showed me that if I keep working hard and never give up, I can do amazing things.
