AJ is all heart, both on the field and off! He lives and breathes football, but he is also a very compassionate and caring kid.

AJ loves the competition of football. He not only competes against other teams, but he playfully competes against his teammates and himself. He is always striving to learn more, to be a better athlete, and improve his skill. For AJ, playing football isn't just about winning the game; it is an entire journey including relationships with teammates, knowledge of the game, his own inner and physical strength, and understanding his health. He thrives off doing the job well.
AJ is inspired by his great grandfather, Larry, known to family as "Papa". AJ and Papa were very close from the moment AJ was born. As AJ grew older and learned of his great grandfather's life and accomplishments, he became inspired by him. Papa was a police officer, detective, and sergeant for 30 years. During that time, he protected the city, took care of others, and saved lives. AJ is inspired by the bravery and brotherhood he learned about in the police department.
Watching AJ become a young man who continually pushes himself to try harder and to do better has made his family the most proud. Both on the field and off the field, AJ always wants to make the best first impression. He is a good student and understands how important his education is to his football career. He hasn't needed his parents to push and encourage him, although we do when he needs it.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
