She also enjoys working hard to learn life skills from basketball games and practices. She also loves the mentoring ship that she gets from her coaches.
Adara has two inspirations that really got her into basketball. Her first inspiration is her single father who works two to three jobs to provide for her. Her father taught her how to be independent and work hard to get through life. Her second inspiration is her uncle. Her uncle taught Adara her good sportsmanship and her skills to her sport.
A moment in Adara’s athletic journey that I was proud of was when Adara was in her championship game in Mobile, Alabama. Her team went into overtime and have been tied during the whole game! When there was only 2 seconds left on the clock and got up her courage and took a shot, and it went in! Her whole team was thrilled! In that moment I realized that Adara learned a life lesson. Her life lesson was that if she got the courage to try anything good things will always happen.
