Addison

Playing sports is what helped Addie make the transition to a new school after every military move tolerable. Teammates are instant friends.

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Lacrosse mixes speed, finesse and toughness. Since it is the fastest game on grass, I have to use all of these skills to be able to transition from offense to defense in a moment. I love that you can't stop until the last second ticks off the clock because scores come fast!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

As a Christian, the biggest teacher in my life is Jesus. Although I seem rough and rowdy on the field, I aspire for my play, the treatment of my teammates and the respect for my coaches and opponents reflects the love of Jesus.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I have moved a lot because my dad did 24 years in the Air Force. I had to change teams a lot. Also, because I live in Florida, I go to one school but play lacrosse at another because my school doesn't have it. Despite that, I was still named a captain! It was a honor.
