What I love most about playing basketball is the game itself the adrenaline, the hype, and the pressure that comes with a loud, intense environment. I love going to battle with my teammates and the unbreakable bond we build through it all. Basketball has taught me so many life lessons about grit, discipline, and heart and that’s what keeps me coming back every time.
My mom inspires me the most. She pushes me to work hard and be my best every day. She’s tough on me, but it’s always with love and support. Her passion for the game is unmatched, and I’ve seen how basketball shaped her into the strong, determined person she is. I want to give back to the sport that helped make my mom who she is so I can follow in her footsteps.
The proudest moment in Addie’s athletic journey was watching her return from a torn ACL at just 13 years old. It broke her heart to lose the game she loved, but she never let that pain define her. Instead, she fought through the fear, the doubt, the endless hours of rehab. And when she stepped back on the court, she didn’t just play she played fearless. Stronger. Wiser. More grateful. To see her rise from that setback with so much heart and grit… there are no words for how proud I am.
