What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Adelina enjoys the discipline Taekwondo instills, teaching her focus and perseverance. She excelled in Board breaking division- her personal record is 20 boards. The physical activity keeps her fit, and she loves learning new techniques and improving her skills. The self-defense knowledge gives her a sense of empowerment and boosts her confidence. Overall, taekwondo is a passion that shapes her character and enhances her self- esteem.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My daughter is inspired by her taekwondo instructor, who shows exceptional skill and dedication. The instructor’s motivation encourages her to push her limits. She also looks up to older students with higher ranks, whose accomplishments remind her that hard work pays off. Additionally, she draws inspiration from martial arts movies and famous taekwondo athletes, dreaming of following in their footsteps one day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am immensely proud of Adelina's achievements, especially her participation in the 2024 Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and the 2025 Nationals in Salt Lake City, UT. During these events, she earned three Gold medals in the power board breaking divisions, solidifying her status as a national champion in her category for two consecutive years. Adelina earned 5 Gold medals at 2025 Junior Olympics 2025 in TX. I am excited to see the remarkable successes she will attain in the future.
