What Adeline loves most about basketball is when she gets to put all her work in the gym to use during a game. She spends countless hours fine tuning her skills. Adeline is a self motivated person. She has chased her dreams and already achieved a lot of success. She will keep going and hopes to play college ball someday!
Adeline is inspired by her dad on and off the court. He has been the one to take her to AAU games, teach her moves, and work with her in the gym regularly. She wants to make him proud. They have a special bond that makes basketball a bonding experience as well as a competitive journey. Adeline also looks up to her Mom and grandparents.
Adeline has had a very different experience with competitive basketball than other girls. When she’s on the court, she can’t hear well. She relies on her eyes and her basketball smarts to put her in the right position. Never once has she complained or let this get in her way. She will leave everything she’s got on the court every single game. This is what makes me the most proud of her. She could let this be a disability, but she chooses to just work through it. Nothing will stop this girl.
