You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
After Adrina’s second spine surgery she was no longer able to participate in able bodied sports. She became depressed and isolated until her sister encouraged her to try wheelchair basketball. She immediately fell in love with the game and would tell you that wheelchair basketball saved her life.
I’m lucky enough to have two people who inspire me.My sister Mia has always been my day one. Holding my hand when I was afraid before surgeries , encouraging me to try adaptive sports and pushing me to become more than an athlete. My second is Matt Scott (5x Paralympian ,2x 🥇) living legend, mentor and friend. His fly without limits foundation has inspired me to strive to have the same impact on someone else’s life as he’s had on mine.
Adrina has had plenty of moments to be proud of from winning multiple national championships ,introducing kids to adaptive sports in her community and becoming a mentor to other adaptive athletes I think the moment we are most proud of is when she was asked to give a speech at the White House for the Olympic/Paralympic celebration.
