What I love most about being a hockey goalie is how challenging and rewarding it is every time I step on the ice. Playing goalie has pushed me to become stronger, faster, and more focused, not just on the ice but in everything I do. It’s taught me to never give up, even when it’s tough, and has helped me meet amazing teammates and new friends. I love the pressure, the big saves, and knowing I can make a difference for my team every game.
On and off the ice, my biggest inspiration is my faith in Jesus. He gives me strength and reminds me to stay humble and work hard. I’m also inspired by athletes who proudly represent Christ while being leaders and top competitors in their sport. Seeing them live out their faith at the highest level motivates me to do the same, play with heart, and always give my best for my team and for Him.
One moment that makes me proudest is during our regional championship game. Even though I wasn’t the starting goalie and faced a lot of disappointment, I stayed positive and supported the starting goalie and the whole team. I stayed ready mentally and physically because I knew I might be needed at any moment. It wasn’t easy sitting on the bench, but I overcame it by putting the team first. That experience made me mentally stronger and prepared me to be a better goalie and teammate.
