What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

There is a sense of self discipline, growth, routine and doing better today then he did yesterday. There is a sense of camaraderie with his peers, coaches and other athletes.


Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

AJ is inspired by his coaches, other athlete both in Special Olympics and other leagues. His family and friends motivate him to rock his extra chromosome and show the world he sets his own limits and that he isn't defined by his diagnosis


What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

In July 2024 AJ qualified at Regional games to compete in the Special Olympics Provincial Summer Games. He competed in 4 events at Provincials and brought home 3 gold medals and 1 5th place. He is waiting to see if he will move on to the National team next year. He never gives up and always tries his best.
