What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the grind of getting better. Putting in the work and seeing it pay off in games. He loves learning from his coaches, bonding with teammates, and the brotherhood that comes from sports. He thrives on making big plays and celebrating even bigger. Most of all, he loves bringing energy to his team, getting everyone pumped up fuels him too. It’s the work, the fun, and the family that keep him focused and driven everyday.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

AJ is inspired by his dad, who pushes him to work hard, stay humble, and never give up—on or off the field. He sees how his dad shows up for his family and brings that same energy to his teams. He’s also inspired by pro athletes who lead by example, like Fred Warner and Mookie Betts, not just for their talent but their work ethic, leadership, and love for the game. They remind him that greatness comes from discipline and heart.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment that always makes me proud is seeing my son show true sportsmanship. He never misses a chance to lift up a teammate or give props to an opponent for a great play. He thanks his coaches, refs, and umps for their time and always plays with respect. It’s bigger than the game for him. It’s about growing as a person, being a great teammate, and honoring everyone who helps make youth sports possible.
