Alexa loves the energy and the environment her sport brings. The friendships and bonds she gets to make along the way with her teammates and coaches. Being a role model to the younger generation is huge to her and her passion is to make others better. It’s not just a sport, it’s a life style for her.
Alexa is inspired by her trainer. Coach Rayfield Ragland. He’s been her trainer/mentor since she was in 2nd grade. Through all the ups and downs she has always looked to him for guidance, inspiration, words of encouragement, a good game, a bad game, a rough training, he’s always there for her.
The proudest moment in the journey so far would be Alexa having the opportunity and being asked to represent Women’s Sports through Rise Up Sports. The love she has for the game and being chosen to be an ambassador and represent Women in Women’s Sports has been something special and I’m so proud of her. Also, watching her rise to each and every challenge she has faced with such grace. Her heart, grit, determination, and leadership she has, I could not be more proud of.
