She loves camaraderie with the people she dances with. The give and take.She loves the energy she gets from the audience. The push from her teachers to take risks and try new things.
Misty Copeland and Debbie Allen. These women have broken barriers and opened doors for dancers that look like Alex.They worked hard and endured so much to become who they are not only as dancers but strong women. Off the field her Dad. She watches how hard he works and still comes home and supports not only her in dance but her sisters and her brother in their sports. In ten years of dance he's only missed one performance. She also has his sense of humor.
1.Stepping into a field where she looked completely different than every dancer with boldness and working so hard that it didn't matter whether she had hair or not because she was just good. You looked initially because she was bald you couldn't take your eyes off her because she's amazing. 2. I am proud of the girls she's inspiring . She started being teaching assistant last year which was huge from a girl who didn't talk a lot and now she's a leader.
