When Ali is playing her sports, she is locked in and confident - and shows who she really is on the inside! Ali’s strength lies in her kinetic awareness and her ability to have a mature IQ of the sport. And with this high game knowledge and mental stamina, Ali is always the first to help other athletes and she can easily see where a tweak in a mechanic can help an athlete past a road block. It’s an amazing gift to share with others, especially kids who struggle with ADHD and other challenges.
Many professional athletes inspire Ali and she is constantly studying them and mimicking their attributes, and also seeing what “not to do” as well. And her Coach Mike Gorson is probably her biggest inspiration - a good person who is always giving of his time, his knowledge, and his heart - he is her biggest fan and always listens to her, gives her guidance, and encourages her to be herself even when others, including other coaches, want her to be something different.
Ali had a difficult start of a season and grew from this in a way not many would have. She had to walk away from the top club team in the area, and she was then offered a spot in a lot level team - she gave the team a try and loved her teammates instantly - and every time they were on the court, she coached her teammates - every time - she wanted it more for them then herself.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
