Alijah: Sports are competitive, I get to meet new people, do new things, and be the best version of me. If I am down or having a bad day and I play sports it clears my mind and makes me forget about everything else. I love that sports can open up future opportunities for college and my mental stability.
Alijah: My Mom and Dad. They motivate me, make sure I always keep my head up. They remind me where I came from. They believe in me and will spend every minute of their time and the last of their money to help me pursue my passion. I wouldn't be the athlete I am today without them. My mom always reminds me that she is my #1 fan and always will be.
There was a tournament he played where they lost every game and by the last game his team had completely lost motivation. I am unsure what kind of speech he gave to his team before that last game but instead of letting the other team get into their heads they were having fun still trying their best. Every attempt whether failed or not they applauded each other. They lost that last game too but walked away with their heads up, smiling. Alijah stood by the door, shook every hand of the other team.
