I love the feeling of stepping on the field to compete and learn, and getting to have fun with my teammates as we push ourselves to be our best.
I am most inspired by my softball coach who is so invested in our program and each player individually, and works with me and gives me countless opportunities to improve. I am also inspired by my parents who sacrifice time and resources to take me to lessons, tournaments, and practices.
As a freshman pitching varsity softball team she had many opportunities to display her grit and determination to win. In one close game against a tough team, the game went 9 innings and Alli pitched all 9 of them. It was inspiring to see her dig down and get better and better as the game went on and the pressure increased. She pitched 5 straight scoreless innings down the stretch and we kept wondering how long she could keep it up. She never came out and finished the job.
