What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Alyssa loves the competition, training with “her girls” and the feeling of peace as she gets into her competitive mind frame. Alyssa also loves the sense of freedom as she floats through the air completing skills on bars, vault, beam and floor.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Ellie Black and Simone Biles are Alyssa’s role models. 2 strong females that dominate their sport and show young girls that dreams can come true with some hard work, dedication and a love of their sport!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

After losing 7 months to a concussion, being able to come back and compete at a high enough level to reach the podium again, boosted not only her confidence and drive, but made her realize nothing could stop her!
