What she loves most about playing softball is the connection she feels with her teammates. As a catcher, she gets to be in every play, lead the defense, and build trust with her pitchers. In the outfield, she loves the challenge of tracking down tough hits and protecting runs. But most of all, she loves the family and friends she has built through out the sport and how much it’s helped her grow as a person, on and off the field.
My biggest inspiration on and off the field are my parents. They are the ones who are always there — cheering me on, driving me to practices, and reminding me why I play.
One of the proudest moments in Alyssa’s athletic journey wasn’t just about skill, it was about her heart. She’s made so many clutch plays when needed for her team, whether it was hitting to score the winning point, or throwing someone out on second. What makes me the most proud is how she steps up when needed, stays mentally tough, and carries her self with grit and dedication.
