What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Alyssa loves that cheerleading is a true team sport—where her individual strengths contribute to something bigger. Even though she’s naturally shy, the mat is where she lights up. It gives her the confidence to be bold, fearless, and larger than life. She’s passionate about pushing herself to learn the next skill, flying high through the air, and tumbling with power and precision. Cheer challenges her, inspires her, and fuels her drive.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

What inspires Alyssa—both in cheer and in life—is the drive to grow. She’s motivated by challenge, fueled by competition, and focused on becoming the best version of herself. Alyssa doesn’t compare herself to others—she sees only one competitor: the girl she was yesterday. Whether she’s on the mat pushing for a new skill or in school striving for excellence, she’s inspired by the journey of self-improvement and the belief that hard work always pays off.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Alyssa made me proudest during the 2024-2025 season by double-teaming Youth Level 2 and Junior Level 3, competing in coed stunting with Future Flyers, and training nearly every day. She earned a paid bid to The Summit with her Junior 3 team, won the Youth Summit with her Youth 2 team, and took home two first-place wins—all while maintaining Principal’s Honor Roll. Her dedication and hard work inspire me every day.
