What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Amara loves her sport because it challenges her and lets her fly. She enjoys setting goals, working hard, and learning how to push through setbacks. But more than anything, she loves the feeling of flying—those moments in the air where she feels confident, free, and unstoppable.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Amara is most inspired by Avery Neff, a gymnast at Utah. She was a Level 10 who became the nation’s top recruit. Amara admires how Avery paved her own path, set big goals, and made them happen. Her strength, focus, and determination remind Amara that anything is possible with hard work.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This season, Amara overcame huge mental hurdles with challenging skills. At Regionals, she brought tears to my eyes by competing a skill she hadn’t done in two years due to fear. In that moment, she proved to herself that with courage and determination, she can do anything.
