What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

My child loves playing sports because it brings them joy, energy, and a sense of accomplishment. Amari enjoys being part of a team, where they he makes friends, work together, and celebrate wins as a group. Sports gives Amari a fun way to stay active while learning new skills and challenging hisself to improve. Whether it’s the thrill of competition, the excitement of scoring basket, or just running freely on the field, playing sports boosts his confidence and makes him feel proud.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My son is inspired by his father, who motivates him both on and off the field. His dad leads by example—showing dedication, respect, and a strong work ethic that Amari truly admires. On the field, he pushes him to be his best, teaching him not only the skills of the game but also the value of teamwork, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. Off the field, Amari looks up to the way his dad handles challenges with a positive attitude and encourages him to be confident, kind, and disciplined.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in my son’s athletic journey that makes me the proudest was when he lifted a teammate’s spirits after a tough loss. Instead of focusing on the score, he reminded his team to hold their heads high and keep working hard. Watching him show maturity, leadership, and compassion in that moment reminded me that he’s growing not just as an athlete, but as a person.
