What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Amari loves the skills he gets to use in his games from the preparation of practices and outside work. He’s been with his team for a few years and he loves how they all can come together as one to get the job done. He feels like he’s truly himself on the football field, the basketball court and track field (especially being with close friends).

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Amari says Travis Hunter inspires him on the field. The way he moves with determination. He says that we (his parents) inspire him off the field. The way we are on him about grades (mom) and how dad takes him training on off days.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in his athletic journey that made us proud is when he won MVP in an All American game. He told us after the game thank you and he appreciated us (our parents) for supporting him all the time.
