What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Amaris loves being able to connect with other girls her age, not only in friendly competitions but as well as motivating others. She loves challenging herself to be better.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her softball idol is Mia Scott (UT 3rd baseman) She loves that Mia is talented and is a true utility player. Pushes amaris to achieve that level of greatness in her own play.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Amaris wanted to quit softball at one point due to politics in her current team. Decided to play one more season with another team and really work on her individual play. She started asking to take lessons and continued to work at home on her own. Not only did she become a better player but also started pushing others to really believe in themselves. She loves motivating her little sister and hopes that soon she will really fall in love with the sport that has become her passion.
