Thank you for generously supporting Amira in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Amira thrives on the team aspect of soccer. She’s a natural leader and communicator—a true field general—who sees the game with a coach’s eye. She finds joy in helping her teammates grow and succeed, often serving as their motivator and anchor on and off the field. For her, it’s never just about winning—it’s about doing it together, building trust, and making others better along the way.
Amira draws inspiration from her two older sisters. Her sister Ava plays Division I soccer at the University of Cincinnati, and her other sister is pursuing architecture at the same university. Both have set examples of hard work, perseverance, and integrity. She also deeply admires her grandparents, who laid the foundation for the opportunities she and her sisters now have. Their sacrifices, love, and guidance continue to shape her values and drive.
One of the proudest moments came during the state championship game. Amira made an incredible save in a high-pressure moment, but what stood out even more was her response after an opposing player was injured on the play. She immediately checked on the player, helped her up, and showed true compassion and sportsmanship. It was a powerful reminder that Amira is committed to being a good human being first and an athlete second—something we admire most about her.
