What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Anatalia loves sports because she has a sense of belonging to a team, gives herself challenges and growth through setting goals, practicing hard and seeing improvement, the thrill of competing and winning, coaches make her feel seen, encouraged and guided, expressing her identity through fun, freedom and creativity on the field! Anatalia is a gold-hearted person, who pushes others to do their best athletically, academically and being in sports allows her to be a positive influence to others.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Anatalia is inspired by not only famous athletes but also herself! Anatalia focuses on effort over results, process over perfection, and joy over pressure. Also her current and former coaches who have shaped her confidence, attitude and love for the games by believing in her, pushing her to grow, and making the sports fun! Additionally, Anatalia loves her teammates and older sister as she has been able to admire hard work, and never give up. Anatalia’s reserved demeanor changes to a beast!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There is not one sole moment that I am proudest of Anatalia but making the winning goal and being top goal scorer of all games, tournaments and state cup plus being scouted for BENFICA. Anatalia has played sick to support her team and that shows her dedication and for that I am overtly proud. There is not a day that we have forced her to go to practice, a game or even helping her sisters team out. She is always a willing participant and we love the ease, flexibility and reliability within her.
