Angelina is driven to becoming the second professional female goalie in the NHL, following in the footsteps of Canadian Manon Rheaume.

Angelina is deeply engaged in everything hockey and is currently playing goalie for Flamborough Girls Hockey Association, competitive rep. She loves the fast paced, competitive nature of hockey and always encourages her team to strive to be the best! She loves the pressure of her role as a goalie! Surprisingly one of Angelina’s hockey joys is playing in a cold arena. As a transition player in lacrosse, she loves the strategy component, and finds these sports compliment her development.
On the ice, Angelina is inspired by Mitch Marner. She describes him as a ‘clean player’ who demonstrates strong sportsmanship. She appreciates his elite skills and team leadership. Marc-Andre Fleury is also an inspiration. She appreciates his humour and has learned to have fun and ‘respect her posts.’ Off the ice, Angelina is inspired by her Poppy! He is her strongest supporter and mentor and shares her love of hockey and lacrosse, and he teaches her respect for the game, players and her team.
Our proudest moment occurred after her first championship hockey tournament win. The final game went to a shoot out and she allowed no goals against. Angelina accepts the pressure of being a goaltender and allows it to slide by the wayside. After the game, we asked her how she felt about the big win. She was beaming with delight, and shouted, “Poppy I had so much fun!” Her reaction to the win, was our proudest moment!
