Each match is a chance to improve she says losses are part of the process that makes her stronger she doesn’t back down from competition and doesn’t let her late start in tennis define her! She thinks the best feeling is grinding through a long rally because no matter who won the point the grind made everyone step up! She’s spent months on training a small aspect and one day muscle memory clicks and it’s so satisfying! Tennis starts with love and she thinks that says everything!
Coco Gauff on the court because she was the youngest setting records proving age doesn’t matter when you have drive love and determination! She also likes how Coco shows you can have other interests outside of tennis and that’s okay! Her mom also inspires her because no matter what she does what she says she will do and she wants to be someone who keeps their word.
Annmarie’s proudest moment in tennis is when she stopped saying “I can’t” it was very hard to change her backhand grip and elevate her serve it meant she had to stop tournaments to work on things. Tournaments are her favorite she loves the competition but she was proud of herself when she realized there’s no tournament without working out what’s wrong with her strokes accepting the break and getting better without being down on herself made her really proud to overcome the “I can’t” feeling
