What I love most about playing sports is the game itself. I enjoy the competition but the excitement of being a part of something that is bigger than myself. I find building relationships with my teammates fulfilling. I find great joy in helping my teammates feel good about their abilities and achievements. I enjoy the challenges that push me to grow and improve, both as an athlete and a person.
My father inspires me on and off the field. He is a great role model and I am lucky to have his unwavering support and love. My dad has shown me how to handle responsibilities and challenges with strength and resilience. My dad has modeled the importance of honesty, respect, and kindness through his actions. He has helped me through life’s ups and downs. I am incredibly fortunate to have such a great dad.
The one moment that stands out in Anthony’s athletic journey that fills me with pride was during the state wrestling finals. After losing the first round, Anthony faced the challenge of wrestling back seven opponents. Despite the odds he never gave up. He showed determination and resilience. He ended up securing 3rd place in the state. This experience has taught him the importance of perseverance and the value of hard work, lessons that extend far beyond the mat.
