Anthony loves the excitement of the game. The competition and community in football is unmatched in his eyes. He is passionate about building up his strengths and identifying his weaknesses as an individual but just as importantly as a teammate.
American ultramarathon runner, retired Navy SEAL, and author David Goggins inspires Anthony. Anthony learned about the many obstacles Mr Goggins overcame, in many aspects of his life, to be his best self despite those challenges. As Anthony says “He is him”, which means Mr Goggins is an extraordinary individual!
I remember Anthony’s very first football practice. It was a hot August afternoon & being his first time ever playing, he felt overwhelmed. There were times he wanted to give up and go home but he persevered. He pushed himself beyond his own expectations and in doing so, has found a love and great passion for football. I can’t put into words how proud I am of him for pushing through those tough moments and continuing to challenge himself to be the best he can be both on and off the field.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
