Ari works to be great! He loves to be active & even for his age understands being an athlete means he can do what he loves, which is PLAY!

Ari loves to compete! Doesn’t really matter if it’s sports or putting his socks on the fastest. Playing sports allows him to be an athlete in the truest sense of the word; running, jumping, climbing, throwing, and just moving his body. If time wasn’t a construct he’d play EVERY sport. (His words, not mine)
I would say Ari is inspired mostly by his parents. We exhibit the concept of hard work which translates in his success on the field but even more so is how we preach ‘character’ and ‘sportsmanship’. Teaching him he can set out to dominate but not humiliate. Having respect for other competitors is high on our list. On the ‘field, course, court, track, ice, ring’ Ari looks up to his coaches. He is very coachable and he wants to put the work in to make them and us proud.
No achievement or moment makes me (us) more proud than seeing him high-five, give a pat on the back or pick up a fallen competitor. Vividly I recall him helping a kid up only to hustle back to the ball, get it and score. And we praise him for that type of integrity, especially in youth sports. How he treats people will outlast any memory of winning a kids triathlon or football championship or individual award.
