Beyond competition, hockey teaches her teamwork, strength, and resilience. Though challenges and tough losses come, they help her grow. Playing what she loves brings joy, focus, and purpose, shaping who she is and inspiring her to keep learning and improving.
Ariana is inspired by many people in her life. As her mom, I support and encourage her to keep pushing herself. Her stepdad is always there, cheering her on and teaching her resilience. Her coaches challenge her to improve and believe in her abilities and her friends on the team motivate her through their teamwork and dedication. Together, these people inspire Ariana to work hard, stay positive, and grow both on and off the ice.
One of the proudest moments in Ariana’s journey was during a tied championship game. The opposing team had a breakaway toward an open net, and everyone thought the game was over. Ariana didn’t give up she skated her hardest, showing incredible heart and determination. In a last ditch effort, she dove across the ice to block the shot. It was a moment that captured her toughness, unselfishness, and loyalty to her teammates
