Her first game back after a devastating broken leg during freshman year fall soccer. She wrestled with a lot of fear and performance anxiety after her injury. She never missed a beat. If you didn’t know her you would not have known by seeing her play that game that she had missed any time at all. The smile on her face and the tears of happiness streaming down her face were inspirational. I’ve watched her grow into a strong and tenacious young lady from the sidelines of the soccer field.
