I love the rush of baseball. The feeling of hitting the ball and fielding excite me. The competition is something I've recently learned I yearn for. Lastly, the comradery of my team and even with other teams and ball players.
My pitching coach, Scott Squire, inspires me. I see myself in him, a left handed pitcher. He's like me, but older and he often says he threw like me at my age. I see how far he made it in baseball and it helps me see how far I can make it with hard work.
Our proudest moment of our son was when he was in a game for 5 2/3 innings and threw 12 strike-outs. This was a proud moment not just because of the obvious skill, but also because for the last 3 years he was playing up on a team where he was 9 months younger than the next kid. He always working hard to not be at the bottom of the team and now we had the chance to see him be on top and his hard work pay off.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
