Ashton is inspired by his family on and off the field. His family supports him financially and emotionally through the sport. He is also inspired by his coaches. They challenge him to work hard and always give his best effort.
My proudest moment was the first game he ever pitched. He was nervous and it showed. We talked about confidence and believing in himself. That day, he pitched the best game he has ever pitched thus far. His grandmother kept saying “CONFIDENCE” while in the stands. He persevered and did not let fear stop him. I was so proud.
