For Sauce, basketball is more than just a game-it’s his passion & drive. From the thrill of competition to the bonds built through teamwork and leadership, Sauce gives his all every time he steps on the court. He thrives on self motivation, embraces challenges and values everything the game brings. Basketball has taught him life skills; discipline, resilience and confidence that go far beyond the court. “It’s just something about when I step on the court-I feel so alive and free”
Sauce is inspired by those who lead by example- Coaches, teammates, and professional athletes who show heart, hustle and humility. But most of all, he’s inspired by God, his parents, his family and favorite player Kobe Bryant! A special inspiration goes out to his dad, whether it’s rebounding, a tough workout, or words of encouragement, his dad’s dedication and belief in him never waver. That kind of love and support fuels Sauce to keep pushing and growing to be the best version of him daily!
One moment that makes us proud was watching him lead & encourage his team to a victory during a tough tournament and being down at the half. We were so proud of his resilience and heart to fight even when the scoreboard wasn’t in his favor in the moment. He never gave up, he dug deep, kept pushing and encouraging his team. He plays with the same intensity and passion whether he’s up by 20 or down by 10. That kind of heart can’t be taught- it’s who he is!
