Ava loves playing the catcher position in softball, and just simply being a part of a team. She’s a leader on and off the court. When she is not around, her presence is missed. Basketball, she loves everything basketball related. She was late to the game but that never stopped her from competing.
All her coaches, teachers and parental figures have played a huge part in supporting her sport endeavors, while encouraging her to push through the obstacles of life.
What makes me the proudest is how much of a force she is on and off the field. She is a natural born leader and doesn’t fully know it. When on the field, whether she’s having a bad game, she never lets that deter her from being the best teammate. She is yelling, cheering and encouraging her teammates despite her performance. I’m blessed to have her in my life.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
