Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Ava is inspired by her parents, who model hard work, humility, and resilience. On the field, she looks up to her coaches and athletes like Jennie Finch, whose leadership and passion for softball reflect the values Ava strives to embody. Off the field, she admires Allyson Felix for her strength and grace. Their dedication and integrity push Ava to stay focused, work hard, and lead with heart—both as an athlete and as a person.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Every time I see Ava, I’m filled with pride, but my proudest moments are when she performs under pressure and gives it her all. Watching her smile after hitting a home run, stealing a base, or winning her heat is incredibly rewarding. Just as impressive is how she handles defeat—with grace, humility, and determination to improve. In every moment, win or lose, she shows that her hard work and character truly shine.
