Avery loves the way it makes her feel like a true athlete-confident, strong, and disciplined, and knowing that through her hard work and college opportunity and build a future doing something she’s passionate about.
Avery thinks her mom and dad inspire her on and off the field because they constantly push her to become a better version of herself. Even thought they sometimes argue and don’t see eye to eye, she knows that everything they say and do is out of love and to help her grow, and not just as a athlete, but as a person too.
One moment in Avery’s softball journey that has made made me the proudest might be when she showed incredible determination like, coming back strong after a tough game or hitting that game-winning run. Watching her step onto the mound with confidence, staying focused through every inning, and giving her all to help the team it was a beautiful mix of hard work, skill, and heart. That game showed me just how much she’s grown not just as an athlete but as a determined and resilient young woman.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
