Receive Text UpdatesAxel loves to go fast. In go karting, just tenths of a second can mean the difference between 1st and 2nd place. It's the technicality of driving that really matters to him. He would be at the track every day just trying to shave time off of laps if he could.
Axel wants to be a Formula 1 driver someday. He watches all the races and very much looks up to all the drivers. He knows how hard they all have to work in order to be there. He looks up to Yuki Tsunoda, Oliver Bearman, and Kimi Antonelli the most currently, because they are the rookies. They have the most to prove this season, so their determination, discipline, and drive is something he emulates in his own racing career.
There isn't one specific moment that makes me the most proud of Axel. What always makes me proud though is when he can learn and move forward AND when a heat doesn't go smoothly, yet he still overcomes the obstacles. Racing is not for the weak minded/at heart, and I'm forever proud of how well my son handles situations that come at him while on the track.
