Thank you for generously supporting Ayden in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
For Ayden, soccer is where he comes alive. He thrives under pressure and loves the adrenaline of every moment on the field. Whether it’s scoring a goal or making a clutch play, soccer constantly pushes him to improve. But what he loves most is the bond with his teammates. As he says, “grinding together is always fun.” For Ayden, the real win is the shared work, friendships, and memories built along the way.
Ayden’s greatest inspiration is his dad. His dad has always pushed him to become his best. As a former soccer player, his dad understands the work it takes and challenges Ayden to keep going, even when it’s hard. That pressure hasn’t always been easy, but it’s taught Ayden perseverance. After every game, he looks to the sidelines, hoping to see his dad’s smile. That’s his favorite win.
My proudest moment was Ayden’s first game with a new team in 2018. Instead of focusing on scoring himself, he led the team to help a teammate who hadn’t scored yet. Parents watched in awe as he showed true unselfishness. That moment defined his play style, Ayden plays to win, whether it’s by scoring, assisting, or creating plays to help others succeed. I still see that selflessness in him today.
