What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Everything. He constantly has a bat in his hand and practices swings, pitching, catching. He lives for this game. Baseball has given him confidence and tools that he uses outside the game. He knows in his heart he will play in the MLB & his family is all behind him.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Yadi Molina. He wants to be Yadi. He wears 4 on any team hes on. Us, his parents and his grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles. Of course his 2 brothers. His family believes in him 100%. We show up, we talk, we cheer. He knows we have him no matter what happens.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

He hit the game winner in a tied game, driving home the kid on third. The ball was about 5 feet from being a home run. This is what allowed them to advance into the next round of playoffs. They ended up 3rd but we were all so proud of him. If he had just won The World Series with Cardinals, we couldn't have been more proud.
