What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Ayva  thrives on the challenge of high-level play, testing her limits, and pushing herself to grow. Competing at a national level often ignites a love for intense, meaningful games where every moment counts. Also, for someone who’s grown up with the game, soccer feels like part of who she is.  She loves the bonds she has created and the shared struggles and victories with teammates—those friendships forged through practices, travel, and competition. Ayva enjoys the pure artistry of the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Off the field, Ayva draws inspiration from a few incredible people who have played a significant role in her journey beyond just her immediate family. One being her long-time trainer. He has been by her side for years, not only teaching her the technical skills and tactical knowledge of the game but also helping her develop a deep love. Ayva is also deeply inspired by her father. His go-getter mentality and relentless drive to pursue his goals have always stood out to her.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment in Ayva’s journey that has made me the proudest is her unwavering dedication to overcoming adversity. A few years ago, she experienced a tough loss in a national championship game—a moment that deeply impacted her. But instead of letting that setback define her, she channeled it into motivation. Through relentless hard work, personal growth, and a focused shift in her mindset, she set a clear goal: to win another national title before heading off to college and did it!
