Kalea loves how focused and determined she gets when performing the art of tae kwon do. It takes practice, discipline and hard work to master being a black belt. She continues to practice about 4 times a week, from demo team to learning poomsae forms, sparring as well as mastering a variety of kicking forms. She puts 100% effort into what she love because tae kwon do is part of who she is as a person.
Kalea says her family inspires her- mom and dad because mom and dad work so hard to provide for us and we are so lucky to be able to be able to participate in martial arts. I love tae kwon do for me but also want to make my parents proud because they work hard for me to be able to do something I love.
When Kalea earned her black belt in November of 2024. All her family and friends witnessed her accomplishing her goal after working towards it since summer of 2020. For an 8 year to accomplish so much at a young age, as parents we are so proud.
