He’s a die hard Phillies fan, but loves all of baseball in general. I think he has a lot of internal drive to succeed. He’s had a number of coaches and teammates that he’s looked up to and also admired for their skills and talents.
Bayze started “behind” his peers and he never gave up. He worked and trained and worked and got let down and defeated and he just kept pushing forward and he continues to keep pushing and learning and bettering himself as a player. I love that he’s “never given up” and it’s been a good life lesson for all parts of life.
