My son is very passionate about football but has a diehard love for basketball. He started playing at the age of 8 and within those few 5 years has mastered 3 different positions, PG, PF , and SG. He works nonstop on becoming better and stronger with the game. It’s a family sport so I believe that’s what makes it so special to him. All of us on his father and mother side played basketball.
His grandparents inspire him the most. He lost his grandfather on his father side and not even a year later lost his grandmother on his mother side. Both of them were very active and supportive of him while playing sports. I believe every time he steps on a court or field , he pushes his self to play his hardest for them to continue to make them proud from heaven.
There was a time where he was on the court playing a team that was very good. They were losing by 20 points by the half and you could tell his teammates felt it was over. Bentley decided to motivate instead of allowing them to give up, they change the momentum of the game and Bentley made a crucial shot tying the game and putting the game into OT. They lost by one but the win wasn’t what was important , what was important was his ability to motivate and turn his teammates into go getters!
