Both his mom and uncle swam competitively so he has family roots in swimming. They inspire him to do his best and still have fun in the sport.
I think the proudest moment was when he made it to AllStars last year. He was quite nervous and he was only one of 3 boys that were aged 8 in the 10 & under group. He was able to overcome his nerves and swim some personal best times while competing against some of the fastest athletes in his division.
