Blake loves the bond with her teammates, but she lives to challenge herself. As a pitcher, she is constantly working hard to increase her speed and hit goals. She lives for the pressure of the game especially on the mound.
She is inspired by Karlyn Pickens and Mia Scott. Not just because of their talents and performance in D1, but because both are strong women who show bounce back from errors with class and determination.
Blake makes us proud every year. She has won awards and pitched a perfect game. But what makes us most proud is when she was rehabbing a back pain and was not allowed to pitch for two months. During a tournament she came to the mound without a warm up and kept her team in the game while striking out three batters. They lost the game, but her hard work and mindset did not allow her to quit.
