Braden loves the consistent competition and training that he commits to. The accomplishment of working hard all season to achieve his goals during game time. He says stepping onto the pitch gives him the feeling of nervousness but also excitement. He also really loves the coaches and teammates that he meets in different trainings and being on different teams. The ability to travel to new cities and countries and learn more about different cultures also sparks his passion for soccer.
My Dad is my biggest inspiration on and off the pitch. The dedication he provides through the endless support, countless training sessions, fueling meals, rides to and from all events, watching games and constant encouragement and belief in me means the world and drives me to be a better soccer player. He shows me that hard work pays off and that I can do anything if I put in that hard work. He also reminds me to stay positive and that with God in my heart good things will come.
One moment that stands out as one of the proudest for us is one of Braden’s first MLS Next games with a new team last season. He stepped onto the pitch with confidence and a strong sense of humbleness and played an amazing game. He scored a complete banger of a goal from the 35 yard line and all of his teammates celebrated with him. The light in his face shined brighter than ever and it triggered something in him to keep pushing and keep learning. One of those feelings that you’ll never forget.
